Duck leg with grilled porcini and cranberry sauce

Duck leg fits well to wild mushrooms and berries. If porcini are not in season, you can use portobello mushrooms.

Salt and pepper the duck legs and fry both sides quickly in a frying pan. Pour off the extra fat. Place the legs in a dish, arrange the quartered onions, unpeeled apples and sprinkle with the rosemary (break into pieces). Cook for 1.5-2 hours until golden brown in the oven at 200 °C. If the duck legs are a little fatty, then remove excess from time to time so they can crisp up properly.

Slice the porcini into wide strips and season with salt and pepper. Sauté in a little oil in a hot pan for about 2 minutes per side. If porcini are not in season, you can use portobello mushrooms.

Put the cranberries or red currants in a small pan with 2-3 dessertspoons of sugar and a little water and cook for 10-15 minutes.
